Jen Morgan is an author, speaker, and certified grief coach passionate about helping women navigate life’s unexpected turns with faith, honesty, and hope.
For over a decade, Jen has led women’s Bible studies both in her home and within her church community. What began with teaching studies from well-known authors evolved into something deeply personal when she began writing and leading her own 8-week study, HeartWork—a transformational journey that has impacted countless women by guiding them to do the inner work of healing, growth, and renewed faith.
Since 2021, Jen has expanded her reach beyond the study table and into the hearts of women everywhere. She is the author of two books, including Bring It On and Fifty & Friendless ~ Table for One Please, where she shares her story with vulnerability, humor, and truth—inviting women to embrace resilience, rediscover themselves, and redefine connection.
Driven by her own experiences with loss and the life-altering moments that change everything, Jen became certified through the Institute of Professional Grief Coaching (IOPGC), earning two grief coaching certifications. She is the founder of After The Call, a grief coaching program designed to meet women in the raw, real moments after loss—offering support, permission to rest, and a path forward at their own pace.
In her first published book, Jen hopes to inspire women to explore the voids in their life, and discover healthy ways to conquer whatever may be holding them back from fulfilling God’s purpose for them. This can be done by removing masks and unveiling their authentic self in order to live in freedom.
Jen is also the co-host of the upcoming podcast and retreat experience, Grief, Grace & The Glow Up, where she and her partner create space for honest conversations around grief, healing, and finding light again after trauma, loss, and life’s hardest chapters.
Through her work, Jen blends faith, storytelling, humor, and practical encouragement to remind women they are never alone—and that even in the midst of heartbreak, there is still beauty, growth, and purpose waiting to unfold.
Jen Morgan has been married to her husband, Kevin, for over 30 years, and together they have three grown children who are at the heart of her greatest joys.
When she’s not writing, speaking, or coaching, Jen is fully embracing life’s meaningful (and fun) moments—whether that’s gathering with her family on Sundays, cheering on their Cincinnati Bengals, discovering new favorite spots with friends (or at a “table for one”), enjoying a great meal and a good glass of wine, traveling with Kevin, or unwinding poolside. She believes deeply in celebrating life, even in the midst of its messiness.
A Cincinnati native and the youngest of nine, Jen treasures her roots and returns home as often as she can to reconnect with her big, love-filled family.
After years of struggling with insecurity, Jen now confidently embraces the woman she’s become—grounded in faith, strengthened by life’s experiences, and committed to living fully as her most authentic self.
Her life is a reflection of what she encourages in others: faith, family, friendship, fun… and yes, always a little wine along the way.
Jen and her family call Texas home.

"This women’s study is unlike any other I've participated in. It was thought provoking and led me on a journey that continues to this day. I have forgiven those who have caused me pain and have begun a loving relationship with myself that I do not believe would have happened otherwise. I encourage anyone who is battling back from an abusive relationship to get into this study and prepare to look at life differently"

“When I first learned of HeartWork, I didn’t know how much I needed it. I was broken and devastated by divorce. God put this into my life at just the right moment. The group was the highlight of my week and kept me going. To this day I still look back on my notebook. I can’t emphasize enough the joy that HeartWork brought into my life.”
- STEPHANIE
“Being a part of HeartWork was wonderful. I loved knowing that I wasn’t alone in how I was feeling and felt at ease sharing my thoughts as I knew the other ladies in the group wouldn’t judge me. I left feeling lighter and relieved knowing that I had tools, learned through Scripture and journaling which I could use to work through my struggles”

"I highly recommend participating in The Heartwork Women's Ministry Study because it is very well balanced in offering many different aspects from individual reflection time to dig to the core of our spirituality on several sensitive topics, hands on Bible time; looking up and meditating on scripture verses, prayer partners/group texts/ social media page to feel constant support, prayers & a little extra love from Jen and the group during our journey, but most importantly to me was our group discussion time led by Jen who spoke with honesty, vulnerability and wisdom in sharing her journey and real life experiences. This allowed the group to feel safe and comfortable to share their deepest thoughts and feelings on real life "stuff". Additionally, Jen provided tips and tools to encourage us to integrate in our lives and put the "words into action" and really work on making positive improvements in our lives and outlook so we can, in turn, be a beacon to others and ultimately serve Our Lord through our path of life."
- JULIE
“I have participated in HeartWork twice now. I have been in completely different places in my life both times and it benefitted me differently each time. Jen and her study have truly opened up my eyes to things I many not have seen otherwise. I have been able to work through underlying issues and figure out how to progress forward in a way that works for me. Thank you, Jen Morgan for speaking your words and helping my heart heal.”
- KRISTIN
“I have done two women’s studies with Jen and with each one she’s always so articulate and shares her experiences with the group and really pushes us to dig deep in our faith.

I feel like both times I have walked away with a stronger understanding of my faith and what I need to do to continue growing.”

"I really enjoyed this book! I liked it so much I actually read it in 1 day! This is such a great book for anyone that’s gone through a loss- or for anyone that has struggled with fitting in or confidence- or for anyone that feels the need to mask their true self. I absolutely loved it- I especially appreciated the part about the importance of sisterhood and having a true authentic ‘tribe’ and it challenged me to be a better and more intentional friend. There is also the perfect amount of realness and rawness that I particularly appreciated! Quick and easy read that will challenge you in such a good way!"
- TRACY
"This is one of the most relatable, encouraging, and Inspiring books I read in a long time. it was fun to read with a group of friends, we discussed each chapter weekly. I’d also like to share that Jen made herself available through social media with questions and comments that we had. I appreciate her kind words and sharing her life."
- JULIE
"In the book Jen shares her journey of healing with vulnerability and relatability. Sharing hope that it’s never to late for God to heal us from the pain and brokenness of our lives. At the end of each chapter there are questions that help you reflect and apply the wisdom shared to your own personal journey. My hope is we all have a sisterhood that gets in the ditch with us. I will be sharing “Bring It On” with many friends and women who need hope."
- TERRI
"A great book that will resonate with anyone who has struggled with grief or finding their true self. The tools in this book are really inspiring to jump head-on, take some risk and especially get comfortable being uncomfortable. I highly recommend! "
